Fair Share?

In 2007 the top 1% of taxpayers payed 40.4% of total federal income taxes. The bottom 95% paid 39.4% of income taxes collected.
Yet Democrats and liberals continue to lie to us and perpetuate the myth that the "evil rich" haven't been paying their "fair share".
The numbers say it all. Time to implement the FairTax!

Health Care - Public Option!

So what happens when the public health care option wipes out the private insurance companies causing their stock values plummet?
All these "hope and change" people will finally realize that they are in fact the owners of these "greedy" insurance companies when the values of their own 401K plans tank.
Actions, like voting for a socialist, liberal Democrat, have very severe consequences!

Ted Kennedy is a Murderer! It's that simple.
He spent hours wandering around worrying about his political career, and sobering up, while MaryJo Kopechne struggled for air until the last air pocket disappeared. She died a slow and terrifying death!
And to the voters of Massachusetts... What is wrong with you people?

Amnesty - Middle Ground?

This is a plan proposed by Neal Boortz. Couldn't find it on his web site, or I would have copied it and linked to it.

Here's how I remember it:
1. Don't cheapen US citizenship by giving it away up front. Do give aliens a reasonable, attainable path to citizenship.
2. Allow alien workers to cross the border for work without limitations or quotas. They would only be required to register with a 3rd party (not government) employment agency.
3. Allow employers to hire alien workers, but only though the 3rd party employment agency. Hiring alien workers directly would be illegal and would subject the business to a large dollar (not criminal) penalty. The penalty should be large enough to be a deterrent.
4. The employment agency would be required to keep track of the aliens and their documentation. Any agency fees would be payed by the employer, none by the worker
5. Once this procedure is implemented, give amnesty as it relates to crossing the border in the past. Other serious criminal convictions would have to be considered separately.
The alien workers get to work, employers get the workers they need, and illegal alien problem goes away. Also, we don't have a battle about amnesty every 10 or 20 years.
Sounds like a reasonable middle ground to me!

Miracle of Flight 1549

Not all were heroes on Miracle of Flight 1549. I'm guessing there were 10 to 20 losers on this flight.
"He lifted it to see 'controlled chaos' unfolding around him. People started running up and down aisles. People were yelling and pushing,"
"A crowd surged to the back of the plane, where the emergency exits were located. The rush caused the rear of the plane to start sinking, and water poured into it."
"As the 40-degree river water sloshed through the fuselage, some passengers clambered over seats - ignoring calls to Calm down!"
"One woman wouldn't get off without her luggage and had to be shoved through the door."
Sorry. I don't mean to be a total pessimist. "Chivalry proved to be very much alive on the flight. "Women and children first!" the men shouted as 85-year-old Lucille Palmer, on her way to celebrate her great-grandson's birthday, was helped to the front.
"Someone helped a woman with a 6-month-old baby through the door. She stood on the wing with the child in her arms."
Most people will act with class in a situation like that, but you can always count on 15 or 20% of a crowd that size to act like selfish, me-first nimrods.
Kudos to the crew (pilots and stewards) for their professional behavior!

My vote goes to Henry Waxman for the "Butt Ugliest Politician" on the planet. ...and ugly goes right to the bone!
Probably no coincidence that he's also one of the biggest left-wing nuts on the planet.
